What Is R.V.P.S.? Street Outreach & Victim Services

R.V.P.S. stands for Street Outreach and Victim Services. It is KCC Academy’s frontline street outreach Chicago program placing trained community workers directly inside the neighborhoods most impacted by gun violence to de-escalate tension, mediate conflicts, and connect residents to the support they need before and after violence occurs.

Our street outreach Chicago team works every single day in the Chatham community. Seven days a week, our outreach workers are on the ground building relationships, identifying tension, and intervening before situations turn deadly.


 

This is not a part-time effort. Street outreach in Chicago requires full-time presence, full-time trust, and full-time commitment. That is exactly what the R.V.P.S. team brings to Chatham every single day.
